Organisation overview: Brainwave is a charity that exists to help children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve greater independence by aiming to improve mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of educational and physical therapies. 
Role Title: Gardener
Location of Position: Brainwave South West Centre - Marsh Lane, Huntworth Gate, Bridgwater, Somerset. TA6 6LQ
Responsible to: Maintenance Manager
Purpose/Summary of Role: Working as part of a team, help with the upkeep, development and protection of the garden and grounds so that it can be enjoyed by everyone.
Description of Tasks:

Helping out with the general upkeep of the garden:

  • Tidying up
  • Dead-heading
  • Weeding flower beds and paths
  • Trimming trees and bushes
  • Grass cutting
  • General maintenance of the garden/grounds
  • Looking after garden equipment and machinery

Helping out with planned development of the grounds and garden

Time Commitment: Flexible
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Some experience of gardening or looking after grounds
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Reasonably fit
  • Willing to work out of doors in all weather conditions
Training & Support: You will be given induction training into the various aspects of the work
