Friday 28th April saw the inaugural Brainwave Quackers Ball take place at The Lowry Hotel, Salford.

Beaks polished and feathers preened, guests were welcomed into dinner by the evenings compare Darren Proctor from Key 103.

The event was held in honour of the combined collaborations and success of The Manchester Duck Race that takes place annually on Good Friday.  It began with a tongue in cheek icebreaker ‘beaks and tails’ which set the tone for an informal and relaxed celebration.

Following a three course dinner Sally Preston, a Brainwave Family Facilitator introduced her daughter Natalie to guests.  Now 27 years old, Natalie, who has followed a Brainwave Therapy Programme since she was small shared her inspirational story with guests bringing them to their feet with admiration.

This led onto a fun filled auction.

The Quackers Ball was held, in part to acknowledge support, sponsorship and contributions to this year’s Manchester Duck Race.  Humorous awards were given to This Solid Ground, Bathroom Takeaway and of course the winners of the corporate race, Mediacom.

Guests then made their way onto the dance floor, making their moves to the very talented Allessandria.

A great night was had by all as tired feet but happy hearts made their way home having helped Brainwave raise £5,000.
