Report to: Clinical Lead Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist 

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hrs/week) or Part-time considered (22.5 hrs/week on 3 consecutive days)

Salary: £24,000-£28,000 per year pro-rata  (dependent on experience)

Registration: HCPC and RCSLT registration is essential

Brainwave is a long-established national charity providing therapy to children predominantly aged between six months to 12 years. The children we work with have a range of conditions and diagnoses including cerebral palsy, developmental delay, autism, brain injury and Down syndrome, along with other genetic conditions and children with no formal diagnosis.

We are seeking a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with a minimum of one to two years of experience within paediatrics, using a range of interventions and strategies to support complex communication needs of children with learning disabilities and profound and multiple learning disabilities. Formal training or relevant experience of using Parent-Child Interaction approaches, Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) methods (Switches, PECS, Eye Gaze, Makaton signing etc.) and knowledge of Dysphagia support and Sensory Integration approach is desirable.

The therapist will be joining an expanding multidisciplinary team with the current Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, to deliver joint assessments and treatment Programmes.
