Job title: Marketing and Communications Manager

Location: This is flexible, however will require attendance at events and our main office:

Reports to: CEO and/or Service Development Manager

Responsible for: Marketing Apprentice (to be recruited)

37.5 hours per week—flexible, see recruitment pack for more information on part-time/job share opportunities.

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 FTE per annum (based on experience)

Length of Contract: Permanent

Job summary: 

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing marketing and communications output across the organisation working alongside Senior Management team members and colleagues to increase organisation profile and reach, through the development and delivery of effective strategies and SMART action plans.
  • Managing website development, digital communications, video production, design, and managing social media content across multiple platforms.
  • External communications including drafting press releases both regionally and nationally.

We provide life-changing therapy to children with a range of conditions including cerebral palsy, developmental delay, autism, brain injury, Down syndrome, and children with no formal diagnosis at all.  This is a key role in helping us to increase awareness and reach out to more families in need of our support.

This varied post covers all areas of marketing and communications and you will be responsible for translating strategies into working plans to support organisational objectives working alongside therapy, retail, and fundraising colleagues. 

This is a crucial role in a busy charity and offers an opportunity to build on an already solid foundation in strategic communications, events marketing, and brand development in a charity with a national reach.

The ideal candidate/s collectively will have a proven track record of creating dynamic and inspiring content that engage with a range of audiences. You will have a working knowledge of websites and social media platforms as well as experience of designing and producing a variety of print materials. With demonstrable experience of working in a marketing and/or communications environment, we are looking for someone who is well organised, creative, analytical, focused on results, demonstrates attention to detail and can prioritise their work effectively.
