#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of unity in response to Coronavirus. A day where we can all come together to recognise, celebrate and give thanks for the incredible outpouring of compassion we have witnessed during this crisis.

Today, we are asking people to share a message of thanks on social media, or a heart in their front window, as a sign of gratitude to everyone who is supporting our communities. And, if people are in a position to give, then to make a donation to Brainwave.

Here at Brainwave, we are continuing to support our families by providing telephone and online support services. We are also exploring how we can deliver online therapy sessions, a format that was very successful when recently trialled. Find out more: https://www.brainwave.org.uk/information-for-families

Our Therapy Programme transforms the lives of children with disabilities and with our support, families are able to continue their Therapy Programme at home.

Brainwave has helped me say my first word and make feel more relaxed physically and mentally, so I fear the outside world less. I have so many appreciations, I don’t know which one to start with! Brainwave may not cure Autism, but it helps me feel and be part of this world. My dream is to be a music editor. Brainwave allowed me to relax and sit still so I can study and do well in exams/tests. They taught me exercises to help calm parts of my body to help cope with the busy outside world. Then I started to learn. The staff appreciate me and understand my autism/problems.
