Sarah Byrne

When I first heard about Brainwave’s Strictly Summer event at The Mere, My husband Aiden Byrne called me and said Joanne Freeman has asked me to ask you to be involved and i jumped at the chance! Not only to raise lots of money but to learn how to dance.

For the event, there will be 10 business executives (including myself) teaming up with professional dancers from Cadman’s Dance Centre as part of a charity fundraiser for the wonderful Children’s charity, Brainwave. The next few weeks will see me embark on an exciting challenge –to learn and perform the Salsa with my dance partner, Chris Speck. I’m already aware that there’s going to be lots of training and hours spent getting the dance right, but I’m focused, ready and excited to raise as much money as possible. I’m honoured to be included as one of the dancers for Brainwave; it’s an incredible charity that provides exceptional support for local families helping children with disabilities.

Both Aiden and i got involved with the charity 8 years ago after wanting to choose a charity that was not only close to our heart but somewhere that we knew our charitable work was actually being used to support families and the children directly.

Over our time in supporting the charity we have met some amazing children and have been able to see the improvement in them with the help of the charity.

So please, dig deep and help us raise lots of money!
You can sponsor me or book a table and join us on the night or do both.
