Registration is now open for Brainwave’s annual London Santa Dash, taking place on Tuesday 3 December. Sign up and you could be one of hundreds of sprinting santas dashing around the 5k course and raising vital funds for Brainwave, a charity that helps children with disabilities reach their potential.

One of the signature events in the yuletide calendar, The London Santa Dash takes in some of the capital’s world-famous landmarks and finishes at Old Spitalfields Market. Previous routes have included The Tower of London, The Shard, St. Paul’s Cathedral and The Gherkin.

This event is open to individuals and teams of up to ten.  Walk, jog or run - the choice is yours (no sleighs allowed!). But hurry! There are limited places available and they are already selling like hot mince pies.

Participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship for their fun run around London. The funds raised will ensure that Brainwave’s qualified therapists can help even more children improve their mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of educational and physical therapies.

Event organiser and Brainwave Regional Fundraising Manager, Nicky Evans expressed: “We are so excited to bring The London Santa Dash back for its 9th year. The event has raised thousands for Brainwave over the past eight years and we are hoping to raise even more this year!

“Brainwave is an independent UK charity and we do not receive government funding. Therefore, we rely on voluntary donations and fundraising events like this one to provide our services to families across the UK. We have three fully equipped centres across the country, including the local South East Centre in Witham, Essex.

“We’d like to thank Irwin Mitchell who are sponsoring the event this year and to Northwoods Bar who will be kindly bringing their bar and providing refreshments to our runners. It’s going to be a wonderful festive event so sign up, grab your running shoes and help us raise as much money as possible for Brainwave!”

Details: Registration is £25 per person. This includes a Santa suit, medal, celebratory drink, water and Christmas cheer. There are two waves of runners at 6.15pm and 7pm. Over 18’s only.
