Speech & Language Therapist

Paula qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2007 from The College of St Mark and St John, in Plymouth. Paula has worked as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist in the NHS for 10 years, working with children and young people in a range of settings, such as: multidisciplinary child development centres, special schools and pre-schools, specialist autism units and language resource bases. Paula completed her post-graduate paediatric dysphagia training in 2009 allowing her to develop her skills in assessing and treating complex eating and drinking difficulties. She joined Brainwave in July 2017 where her main role is assessing the communication of the children attending the centre and working with families to provide an inclusive communication environment and an achievable home programme of therapy. Paula is responsible for developing the Speech and Language Therapy department in the South West Centre.
