Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Michelle qualified as an occupational therapist in 2005, at the Essex School of Occupational Therapy.  During her study she worked as an OT assistant for adults with learning disabilities.  Once qualified she continued her work there for a further four years.

In 2009 she began working at a children’s centre for children with additional needs where she gained experience of working with a variety of neurological conditions.

As part of her role at Moulsham Grange she worked in mainstream and special schools and was involved with the Statement process / EHC Plans.  Michelle took a keen interest in student co-ordination and in-service training. She specialises in the assessment and intervention of developmental coordination disorder, global developmental delay, handwriting, autism and sensory integration, using a variety of standardised assessments, techniques and approaches. She joined Brainwave in 2015.
