On the 26 June the ‘Walk For Brainwave’ saw over 100 walker’s from companies across London take part to raise vital funds for the Charity.  This year’s route was kept a secret and so our wonderful walkers had to use Treasure Hunt clues in order to find their way along the ‘London On Film’ themed route and subsequently discovered iconic film sites as they went.

Starting at Tower Bridge (seen in Bridget Jones) walkers viewed scenes in Borough Market (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), City Hall (Love Actually) and more whilst answering trivia film quiz questions whilst en route.  All teams made it back to the venue in speedy time, and were awarded with a medal and celebratory drink and nibbles at the after party.

We were thrilled to see that 2 families who are currently on programme at Brainwave’s South East centre in Essex also joined City companies to raise money for Brainwave and attended the Walk.  Cady’s family kindly put together a video of their time at the Walk and also their experience at Brainwave.

A special thank you to all that attended the event and to all those who supported it, we are pleased to tell you that so far we have raised almost £6,000!  We all had great fun and are now looking forward to seeing many of those team who entered at the Santa Dash on the 9 December.
