Brainwave once again held its annual Clay Pigeon shoot on 26th September at the prestigious 10,000 acre Eaton Estate, home of the Duke of Westminster.
Hunters Land Rover of Chester were on hand to chauffeur teams around the Estate and between stands, the most popular being a model Gnat aeroplane, regarded by many as the ultimate fun target on a clay pigeon shoot.
The mornings shooting was followed by a superb lunch and prize giving in Eaton Hall’s spectacular Wolf Room where local Cheshire man and top auctioneer Chris Mills did a magnificent job in ensuring frenzied bidding swelled funds raised on the day. The event has raised just under £20,000.
The event was attended by 21 competing teams drawn from blue chip companies across the Region including four teams from Capital Properties who battled it out to win a number of competitions and prizes whilst raising funds for the charity. There were prizes for Top Teams, Top Gun and Top Lady Gun together with a “Should Have Gone to Specsavers” Award for the individual with the lowest score which was donated by Specsavers Chester. Amongst the Auction prizes available on the day which included Land Rover Experience days, Weekend in Barcelona with flights, a VIP trip to a European leg of the PGA Golf Tournament and an unusual piece of work of Two French pheasants sitting on a fence kindly donated by Cheshire Taxidermists. This was won by Ben Roberts and created great excitement with his children when he took them home – Theo & Fleur Roberts pictured with the Birds
