A big thank you to Sellafield Ltd for raising £12,042 for Brainwave during the last year. The staff at the Sellafield, Birchwood site have been busy baking, selling cakes and books and holding collections for the Charity. The funds raised will be used to support the North West Centre in Birchwood Warrington.

Birchwood Shopping Centre, in Warrington took part in a Three Peaks Challenge and raised fund to sponsor a child on the Brainwave Programme. Thanks to Gary Jones and all the team that took part.

During 2012, the year Brainwave celebrated it’s 30 years, the NW Centre marked the occasion with a new Sensory Garden.
The garden was officially opened by Mr William Lees, the High Sherriff of Cheshire and Pam Betts from International Nuclear Services with her team of staff volunteered constructed and designed the garden for Brainwave.
Marie Moxley raised £230.00 for Brainwave from her Bungee Jump on the 24th November 2012.
James Pares from Bridgwater rode from Taunton to Bridgwater and then Ran to Cannington! 15 year old James from Bridgwater came to the Centre and presented his £104.00 sponsorship to Paul Smith, SW Community Manager.
Wellington School raised £531.55 for Brainwave from their 30th Anniversary Concert for Brainwave.
Paul was delighted to attend a presentation at Teign Valley Golf Club just before Christmas where the Men’s Captain, Dave Shipp, ended his year by presenting a cheque to Brainwave for over £1800; a fantastic result from a great year of Club activities. Paul thanks all those who had helped achieve such a great total and assured all that the money would be well spent by the Charity.
WELLINGTON ARTS ASSOCIATION – Many thanks to all those who supported the Wellington Arts Association who kicked off Christmas well and truly with an excellent night of Christmas entertainment. Special thanks to Rosemary Savory who organised the event which raised over £500 for Brainwave. Thanks also to Branston Potatoes who donated an excellent hamper or the raffle!
