SW Community Fundraiser

 Location:       Bridgwater, Somerset

Job Type:       Permanent

Salary:            £25,000pa

Hours:            35hrs Monday – Friday, although evening or weekend work will be needed occasionally.

Start date:      ASAP

We are seeking to appoint an additional Community Fundraiser to cover the South West. Your task will be to raise income from companies, organisations, groups and individuals in the region through donation, events and other activities, providing motivation, support and assistance at local level.  This will include working with families to undertake fundraising activities as well as assisting the fundraising team in their activities. 

In addition, you will help to identify sources of income that can be applied for by the central fundraising team and other area fundraisers and help to raise the profile of Brainwave through building relationships with organisations and through the local media.

We are looking for someone can offer:-

  • Knowledge of fundraising in local communities and setting up support groups
  • Practical experience of working with families
  • Empathy with children with disabilities and awareness of the implications on the family dynamic
  • Experience of running events, especially the London Marathon
  • A good understanding of the charity sector, of fundraising law and practice
  • Good IT skills – specifically databases and MS Office
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written
  • A driving licence and own car, willing to travel throughout the South West.

Centre Administrator/Receptionist

Location:       Birchwood, Warrington

Job Type:       Permanent

Salary:            £18,000

Hours:             35hrs Monday – Friday

We are looking for a administrator/receptionist to join our busy NW Centre.

The post holder will often act as the first person that a family or sometimes, a potential supporter, will speak to. Thus, a friendly, professional and knowledgeable demeanour is required. This can be both on the telephone and in person.

You will ensure that appropriate records are maintained on all families enquiring or attending the Centre. You will also maintain the diary of appointments and handle all financial transactions.

The ideal candidate will be team focused and available to start in the role as soon as possible.

Paediatric Physiotherapist

Location:                   Birchwood, Warrington

Job Type:                  Permanent

Salary:                       Up to £30,000pa

Hours:                        37.5hrs Monday – Friday.  Part-time will be considered with a minimum of 2 consecutive days

Start date:                 ASAP


The ideal candidate will, with at least 2 years post graduate experience, join our interdisciplinary team providing assessment and home based treatment programmes.

Experience of using parent child interaction approaches and knowledge of sensory integration is desirable.
