Thanks to it’s many supporters and dedicated therapy teams, the Charity now impacts on the lives of over 550 children with disabilities and special needs from throughout the UK and Ireland.
Our growth and regional outreach have been driven by its commitment to bring measurable improvements to the lives of children with physical, sensory, learning, cognitive and behavioural ‘additional needs’ caused by Cerebral Palsy, genetic conditions, Autism and Developmental Delay. Recognising the impact on families of having a child with special needs, Brainwave has always maintained that parents and carers have a very significant part to play in providing their unique input to each child’s developmental needs. That is why, an initial assessment of two full days is offered to each family where the needs and expectations of both the disabled child and the parent(s) can be fully understood.
So since celebrating our 30th Anniversary in 2012 our vision for the future is to be impacting the lives of over 700 children by 2015, using our well proven model at our three permanent Centres in England and our satellite clinics in Scotland and Ireland.
